Bravin and Lee Visit The Rug Factory in Nepal

In May, we visited the factory in Kathmandu where we make our rugs. We brought our adult children as they have recently become an integral part of the family business. As we dive deeper into this new business, we continue to learn more and more about what we can do with rugs and what techniques we might be able to employ with different artists. We watched as weavers integrated wool, silk and aloe; we learned a lot from the gentleman at the dye factory. We observed as our Jonas Wood, Wangechi Mutu and Brian Calvin rugs were washed and tightened. And we solidified our relationships in Kathmandu.

(oh and did I mention we went trekking in the Annapurna Foothills??!)
