BravinLee is posting frequently on Instagram about our upcoming public art exhibit. We have started with black and white portraits of each artist

It's all happening... #RegrowthRiverside

The hard work began in November after speaking with Dan Garodnick from Riverside Park Conservancy about curating a summer 2021 public art show in the park.

It started with thinking, making lists and a lot of day dreaming, which was followed by long walks, many blisters, endless photographs, emails and zoom calls. Then there were the site visits; some virtual, others in frigid temperatures. Lengthy proposals came next. Some plans were scrapped, some added. Press releases were sent out today. Follow the process here:

SITE VISITS:

We Miss You

BravinLee will re-open our doors again. But for now, we are closed due to Covid 19. We look forward to seeing you all soon. We had the urge to remain open for a few days when many were first closing, but ultimately we changed our minds: Nate Freeman, Artnet News

In the meantime, please view our Archie Rand exhibition on the website and keep up with our activities via Instagram @bravinlee

Bravin and Lee Visit The Rug Factory in Nepal

In May, we visited the factory in Kathmandu where we make our rugs. We brought our adult children as they have recently become an integral part of the family business. As we dive deeper into this new business, we continue to learn more and more about what we can do with rugs and what techniques we might be able to employ with different artists. We watched as weavers integrated wool, silk and aloe; we learned a lot from the gentleman at the dye factory. We observed as our Jonas Wood, Wangechi Mutu and Brian Calvin rugs were washed and tightened. And we solidified our relationships in Kathmandu.

(oh and did I mention we went trekking in the Annapurna Foothills??!)
